  1. memories from my childhood

My best memories from my childhood are related to my grandfather, he was the most important person in my life at this time, he was strong, serious and quiet, he didn't have any friends and my aunts and my cousins didn't care him. But we had a good relationship, he loved me and I loved him so much. He was illiterate and in spite of, he dressed me and he passed a comb through my hair and sent me to school everyday.
We always shared the breakfast early in the morning, we drank mate and listened the news on the Cooperativa radio.
In my sixth birthday my grandpa gave me a beautiful dress, it was pink and I was happy with it, I kept it for many years and always remember that gift, he was very affectionate with me.
In the evenings I went out to play with my friends hide and seek, football, hopscotch and many other games in the street and we arrived late at home very tired but happy, I never feel as safe, trusting and pleased as during this period in my life.
My granddad's life was long, he had two wives and seven sons and daughters, but I didn't realized how he grew up, years runs and I grew up too, he stayed with me when I accomplished my goals feeling proud of me.
When I got married he danced and enjoyed with us in the party.
The worse thing that I happened to me was his death. At the age of 84 he left me in a dark and cold day of the year 2002, his last words he said to me the last time we met and even rise his hand and caress my cheek to said good bye calmly and slowly.
The heritage he left me are good memories, his love, his teachings, his perseverance, his taste for work and all the thing that we lived together, our laughts, our pains, our games, our special communication and he is always with me in my blood.
